Science and Technology
In this area we publish short articles from the borderline of science and technology. We inform about what we are currently working on or what is particularly interesting for us. We present the problems we managed to solve and which still await their solution. We want to bring the fascinating world of science closer to the reader, show what our work is about and share our passions.

Light Sword in the eye05.11.2015 Sight is one of the most important human senses. Modern civilization assumes that we can see the world around us. It refers to both interaction rules in society and to handling of different devices. As we age our sight organ, which are eyes, loses some of its properties. One of them is accommodation, which is the ability to adapt the focusing power of the eye lens to provide sharp vision of the objects at wide range of distances. It is caused mainly by growth of the lens and decrease of the elasticity and strength of tissues. One struggle to see objects, which are near (about 25cm) and far (∞), sharp. Such accommodation ability loss is called presbyopia. more » |

The reasons behind it include difficulties in constructing adequately sensible detectors and controlled sources of this radiation. more » |
